Trapping the shoulder before going for the arm bar is way to get the arm bar with having to turn your body on so much of an angle. Starting from the guard with your opps hands on your chest...
1. Snake your right arm under your opp's left arm and cup around the back of his tricep. Your left hand grabs the wrist and you pull his elbow off your hip onto your belly button
2. Throw your left leg up over his shoulder and lock your feet
You can now get the arm bar without telegraphing it by creating such a drastic angle! You can also sometimes get the arm bar without even getting your left leg over his head..you can lock his arm out and just throw your hips up
