Guard: Open Guard to Armbar or Triangle

1. Reach your right hand deep into the opposite collar of your opp

2. Your left hand grabs the right sleeve of your opp

3. Put your right foot on the floor and hip out to the left side (onto your left hip) then put your left foot on your opp's hip.

*As a rule of thumb whichever arm your grab of your opp that is the foot that you put on his hip

4. Push his hip away and scoot backwards while pulling his arm....you want to stretch him out as much as possible

5. your right foot circles around your opp's other arm to his shoulder. Push his shoulder away and slide your foot to his bicep.

This is a basic open guard......laying on your left side, left foot on hip, left hand holding opp's adjacent sleeve, right foot on adjacent bicep.

To tranistion to the arm bar or the triangle just take the foot that is on your opp's bicep and bring it up and over his head. Then either kick the other foot over his head for the armbar or finish the triangle.
