As you are going for the scissor sweep or this option http://tricksterbjj.blogspot.com/2008/04/guard-scissor-sweep-option-2.html but your opp keeps his weight back or spreads his legs out so you can sweep him either way....
1. Use your left foot and push out his right knee
2. Then take your left foot and hook it inside your opp's left leg
3. Reach around your and open your opp's right collar
4. Climb to the back of your opp get your right hook in
5. Your left thumb reaches deep into the right collar of your opp as you sink your arm under his throat
6. Your right arm now pulls your opp's left collar down
To finish the choke.....pull both arms as your squeeze your elbows together
