Guard: Triangle

When you have your guard you want to get one leg (right for this example) over your opp's shoulder and across his neck. You want to end up with your leg wrapped around his head and only ONE of your opp's arms inside...Once you have your leg around his head...

1. Cross your feet! This momentarily holds your opponent down

2. Lift your hips and pull your opp's arm across his throat. Lifting your hips straightens your body out so his arm will slide across, it also stops him from stacking you. Your right arm reaches around his tricep and your left hand is holding his wrist- Try to tuck his hand under your armpit, this limits his mobility

Now you want to tighten your legs.

3. Put your left foot on your opp's hip and turn your body on a 90 degree angle so you are looking at his ear.

4. Your left hand grabs your right shin and pulls it tight behind your opp's neck

5. Kick your left leg over your right. Your right foot in now tucked under your left knee

To finish the lock;
- Squeeze your knees together
- Pull your opp's head down

If you want to tighten the lock you can reach under your opp's left leg with your right arm and keep turning your body counterclockwise- If your opp stacks you, you can also use that grip to roll him over. Now you be in the mount position with the triangle which is even harder to get out of
