Many times when you have north-south position your opp will use both his hands to push up on your stomach or chest...
1. You want to grab his opposite wrist (your right hand grabs your opp's left) and your left arm snakes underneath his arm, then grabs your own wrist. This locks his arm at a 90 degree angle. Your immediately want to push his arm off his stomach! You can not finish a kimura with his arm in front of him so if he grabs his shirts, pants or other hand it makes it much more difficult to get the arm behind him later.
2. Now you get to your knees- bringing your knees close to your opp's shoulders
3. Simultaneously:
- Step your left foot up
- Circle counterclockwise getting your opposite knee to the right side of your opp
- Pull your opp's arm up which will lift his right shoudler off the ground- his shoulder MUST be off the ground to finish this lock
4. Turn his hand to his head
If your opp straightens his arm....
1. Wrap your left arm around his arm- Elbow to Elbow! and pull his arm tight to your chest
2. Spin (clockwise) to your opp's back
3. Kick your toes under his lower back with your shin straight up so your opp can not roll back onto his back
4. Step your right foot up and put it under your opp's chin
5. Sit back with your knees pinches tight - Finish the arm bar!
