From cross side position, when your opp has his arm draped over your head....Your bottom arm (right) underhooks his arm (holding his shoulder) and his left is over his head. Your right knee is tight to his hip and your left is sprawled out....
1. Use your left arm and left leg to post yourself up as you posture up, backing your body up. Pull your opp close to you (again his hip is tight to your right knee) - As you back up your right arm holds his arm tight over your shoulder and you pinch your head to his wrist to keep it in place - It is very important to keep his arm over your shoulder, if you lose this there is no lock! Make sure your elbow is down tight against his ribs!!
Here is where is it different from the Arm Bar...rather than swinging your leg around to his back, you...
2. Step over his head with your left leg keeping your hips where they are...
3. Do not sit back on your other leg...keep good posture!
4. Your top (left) hand rolls his arm straight, so his elbow is pointed outward - There should be no room between his arm and your elbow. Get your forearm straight across his elbow and cross your hands by holding onto both your biceps to lock the grip
5. Pull your opp's elbow inward to finish the inverted arm bar
