Guard: Head and Arm Guillotine

For a long time I had a problem finishing the head and arm guillotine bc I was sinking my grip too tight when in actuality you don't want the choke the deep. When doing the head and arm guiilotine you want the hand that is under your opp's throat holding his chin, that will ensure that your wrist is in the right spot along his coratid artery. Your other hand grabs under that arm along the curve in the wrist (where the wrist meets the hand) and you crank that hand down as if you are starting a motorcycle.

Unlike the regular guillotine you are not looking to stretch your opp out and pull upwards into the neck, your are actually squeezing inward!!! So now that you have the grips right, drive your shoulder down into his head as your turn your wrist into his neck (you are sorta turning your elbows in opposite directions- the elbow on the neck side goes downwards and the elbow on the shoulder side goes upwards) and rather than pushing his away with your legs you actually pull him closer.

This takes a lot of practice to learn to finish correctly but once you get it right it is easier to finish than the regular guillotine.
