Guard Pass: Standing Pass

1. Grab both lapels with right hand and straighten arm so opp can not sit up (make sure to grab both lapels so he can not push your hand off)

2. Left hand grabs opp's belt by his hip and pushes pressure downward, you want to keep his hip as low to the ground as possible- It's important to keep your elbow inside opps leg

3. Slide right knee forward and left knee back turning your hips towards your back leg

4. Step your right foot up driving pressure inward against opp's thigh

5. Immediately angle your left foot outward onto your ball of foot - then lift your knee up by twisting it back

You are now standing with your right foot forward and your left foot back and it is very important to have good posture...if you do not your opp can pull you forward or it makes it very hard to keep your left foot back.

6. Your left hand grabs the pant leg inside your opp's knee with your elbow inside his thigh

7. Shake his knee down until his guard opens

8. Reach your right arm under your opps leg bringing your opps knee onto your shoulder

9. Reach your right arm across to the opposite shoulder of your opp

10. Your left arm reaches under your opp's butt and grabs his belt

11. Stack your opp's knee down to his chin and pop your head to the side and get into motion side mount
