When your opp is attempting to pass your guard using the "double underhook" pass....
1. Reach your right hand (for this example) under your opp's left (adjacent) arm pit and hold it with your left hand (gable grip)
2. Scoot your ass back a lil to keep your hips away from your opp so he can not finish the pass. He wants to suck your hips in towards himself so you need to scoot backwards.
3. Now pull his arm inward towards youself until his elbow pops in front of your leg. Once that happens throw your legs up high around your opp's back and cross your ankles. This is basically like the same position as a trianlge except your opp's wrist is now stuck under your leg. You could finish the triangle right here if you want but there is less of a chance that your opp can defend the Kimura, so.......
4. You now have to switch your hands. Pull your right hand out from under your opp's arm and grab his wrist with your right hand. Now your left arm laces thru and gets the Kimura grip. From here is it very easy to just finish the Kimura.
**The most important part of this move is step 3....pulling your opp's arm inward until his elbow pops around to the other side your leg. As SOON as that happens get your high guard and work to finish either the triangle of the Kimura.

Guard: Head and Arm Guillotine
For a long time I had a problem finishing the head and arm guillotine bc I was sinking my grip too tight when in actuality you don't want the choke the deep. When doing the head and arm guiilotine you want the hand that is under your opp's throat holding his chin, that will ensure that your wrist is in the right spot along his coratid artery. Your other hand grabs under that arm along the curve in the wrist (where the wrist meets the hand) and you crank that hand down as if you are starting a motorcycle.
Unlike the regular guillotine you are not looking to stretch your opp out and pull upwards into the neck, your are actually squeezing inward!!! So now that you have the grips right, drive your shoulder down into his head as your turn your wrist into his neck (you are sorta turning your elbows in opposite directions- the elbow on the neck side goes downwards and the elbow on the shoulder side goes upwards) and rather than pushing his away with your legs you actually pull him closer.
This takes a lot of practice to learn to finish correctly but once you get it right it is easier to finish than the regular guillotine.

Guard: Elevator Arm Bar
If your opp stand up in your guard with bad posture (head forward)....
1. Put your feet on his hips
2. Hold both of his triceps and pull them outwards
3. Lift your straight up in the air (Superman)
4. Push up with your right foot to twist your opp's body
5. Your right hand turns your opps left arm upwards (turn like a steering wheel) and your left arm turns his right arm down (whichever foot is pushing his hip up that hand turns upwards)
As he falls off your feet and turns....
6. Kick your left foot (or whichever foot did NOT push his hip upwards) over his head and get the Arm Bar

Guard: Open Guard to Armbar or Triangle
1. Reach your right hand deep into the opposite collar of your opp
2. Your left hand grabs the right sleeve of your opp
3. Put your right foot on the floor and hip out to the left side (onto your left hip) then put your left foot on your opp's hip.
*As a rule of thumb whichever arm your grab of your opp that is the foot that you put on his hip
4. Push his hip away and scoot backwards while pulling his arm....you want to stretch him out as much as possible
5. your right foot circles around your opp's other arm to his shoulder. Push his shoulder away and slide your foot to his bicep.
This is a basic open guard......laying on your left side, left foot on hip, left hand holding opp's adjacent sleeve, right foot on adjacent bicep.
To tranistion to the arm bar or the triangle just take the foot that is on your opp's bicep and bring it up and over his head. Then either kick the other foot over his head for the armbar or finish the triangle.

Guard: Omoplata (Transition from Triangle)
From the Triangle.....http://tricksterbjj.blogspot.com/2008/02/guard-triangle_27.html
If your opp moves his hand back across his body and holds onto your butt or leg to help him breath...
1. Take your left hand and grab your opp's right wrist (you want to keep his elbow bent while you transition to the omoplata)
2. Unhook your left leg from around your right foot
3. Swing your left leg around opp's shoulder as your switch your hips using your right leg as momentum
4. Once you get into the Omoplata position triangle your legs, put your left hand over your opp's hip and finish the lock

Guard: Arm Bar (Transition from Triangle)
From the triangle position... http://tricksterbjj.blogspot.com/2008/02/guard-triangle_27.html
1. Take your left foot and bring it around your opp's head
2. Cross your feet (I like to put the foot that is over the head UNDER your other foot so your opp can not reach back and push your foot off the head, but it really doesn't matter that much)
3. Pinch your knees
4. Hold your opp's wrist with both hands and pull his arm straight down to your chest
5. Lift your hips
1. Take your left foot and bring it around your opp's head

5. Lift your hips
Guard: Triangle
When you have your guard you want to get one leg (right for this example) over your opp's shoulder and across his neck. You want to end up with your leg wrapped around his head and only ONE of your opp's arms inside...Once you have your leg around his head...
1. Cross your feet! This momentarily holds your opponent down
2. Lift your hips and pull your opp's arm across his throat. Lifting your hips straightens your body out so his arm will slide across, it also stops him from stacking you. Your right arm reaches around his tricep and your left hand is holding his wrist- Try to tuck his hand under your armpit, this limits his mobility
Now you want to tighten your legs.
3. Put your left foot on your opp's hip and turn your body on a 90 degree angle so you are looking at his ear.
4. Your left hand grabs your right shin and pulls it tight behind your opp's neck
5. Kick your left leg over your right. Your right foot in now tucked under your left knee
To finish the lock;
- Squeeze your knees together
- Pull your opp's head down
If you want to tighten the lock you can reach under your opp's left leg with your right arm and keep turning your body counterclockwise- If your opp stacks you, you can also use that grip to roll him over. Now you be in the mount position with the triangle which is even harder to get out of

Guard: Pass Defense into Triangle
If your opp is trying to pass your guard by reaching both his arms under your thighs and clasping his hands together...
1. Sit up! As you sit up use your left hand as a post behind your to help you scoot your butt back. It is important to get your heels to the ground (to the outside of your opp's legs, not in a butterfly position)
2. Your right hand reaches under your opp's left arm then your left hand grabs your right (gable grip- right hand on top)
3. Simultaneously;
- Straighten your right leg
- Pull his arm up- breaking his grip
4. Sit back and lift your right leg over his back and trianlge your feet
Now just work to finish the Triangle - http://tricksterbjj.blogspot.com/2008/02/guard-triangle_27.html

Arm bar from Gi Choke:
(If going for gi choke and your opp starts to posture)
1. Put opposite foot on hip, kick other leg up high on his back
2. As you spin Release your hands and take the perpendicular arm bar
1. Put opposite foot on hip, kick other leg up high on his back
2. As you spin Release your hands and take the perpendicular arm bar
Gi Chokes: CrissCross (Variation)
1. Same opening
2. Rather than snaking hand under your other arm, reach over your arm and pinch (by making a fist) your opp’s gi as close to his neck as you can
3. Finish the same way

Gi Choke: Criss Cross
1. Take your right hand and reach past the opposite side of your opp’s neck and grab the back of his collar as far back as you can.
2. Snake your left hand UNDER your right arm and grab as high as you can on the opposite side of your opp’s collar. Your hands are now criss-crossed in front of your opp's neck, holding his collar on both sides.
3. Squeeze your wrist’s together first
4. Then, keeping your elbows tight pull your opp’s head down to your chest

Guard: Submission - Kimura to Arm Bar
When going for the kimura....if you have the arm locked but you are having trouble getting it behind your opp's back, if he is keeping his hand in front of him...
(For this example assume you are going for a kimura on your right side which is your opp's left arm)
1. Take your right leg off your opp's back and tuck it across your opp's chest
2. Hold his arm tight to your body (his elbow to your chest)
3. Bring your left leg around your opp's body and head tuck it in behind his arm under his stomach again.
You can try to finish the lock here by driving your hips down and finishing on your stomach but I think it is a higher % finish if you roll him onto his back
4. Once you have both your feet tucked under him, let go of his arm with your left hand (while your right arm holds his arm tight to your chest, if you grab your left shoulder it helps you lock the arm into place) and grab under his left ankle. Throw his legs over his head as you turn your hips counterclockwise to help you roll him over.
5. Finish the arm bar
